Meeting of the SO-IEIP

The SACU Technical Committee of Senior Officials on Industrialisation, Export and Investment Promotion (SO-IEIP) convened on 26–27 August 2025 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Member States deliberated on advancing SACU’s industrialisation agenda, developing regional value chains, finalising rules of origin under the AfCFTA and strengthening export and investment promotion frameworks for the regional bloc. The meeting was chaired by the Chief Director for Africa at the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition of South Africa, Mr. Sandile Tyini.
